Amit Mitra is the brains behind innovative low carbon technology product “UNIMAG”, an award-winning entrepreneur and a fine arts connoisseur.
Born into an artistically inclined family (his father Late Atindranath Mitra was a graduate of Government College of Art and Crafts, Kolkata) Amit was a brilliant student who ranked among the top 20 in West Bengal school secondary exam. An engineering graduate from REC Durgapur (now NIT) Amit hit upon the idea of a rare earth monopole magnet-based fluid conditioner for more efficient fuel combustion while pursuing his integrated PhD in Mechanical Engg. Dept., Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
